Last week, I conducted an intensive interview with David Chapman, a long time market analyst, and macro market history buff. David has a multi-faceted 50-year background in economics, currencies, trading, and research. After a long career in the industry, he keeps his foot in the water by currently serving on the BOD with Enriched Investing.
Of note: This interview is probably twice as long as my normal Smart Money/ Dumb Money video’s – its about 50 minutes long. Having said that, for those of you who wish to learn some valuable lessons in market history and – equally interesting – the history of fiat currencies and their relationship to the rise and fall of empires – this is some pretty interesting stuff. While we didn’t spend any time speaking to the more immediate to mid-termed trading opportunities like those I typically identify in my blogs and videos, the market background David provides food for thought for the coming decades. Here’s the link to the video:

JUST WATCH THE INTERVIEW WITH DAVID CHAPMAN: MOST INTERESTING! WHEN I HEAR ABOUT THE CURRENCY SITUATION IN THE WORLD, MY FIRST THOUGHT IS FOR DXY OR THE US CURRENCY AGAINST A BASKET OF MAJOR CURRENCY IN THE WORLD. DAVID CHAPMAN WAS THE ONE WHO TAUGHT ME TO LEAVE NORTEL BEHIND AND BUY CANADIAN UTILITIES IN 1995 (INVESTOR’S DIGEST). JEFFREY HUGE CMT IS ALSO WORTH WATCHING (ON YOU TUBE).
GOOD DAY,
J.P.
Thanks JP- yes, David is controversial, but I like hearing opinions from a variety of sources. He’s certainly been around a while!
